What is eBay ?
E-bay is an online auction site commonly known as virtual shop where you can sell or buy things. You can sell almost anything from used items to a new product on eBay.
How do eBay make you money ?
You will make money when people buy your product. It's like an auction except this is online. You will first place a price on your product and buyers will increase the bid. As simple as that !
Why eBay ?
- You can have your own virtual shop at low cost. This is important for the growth of your business because usually people want to make a deal with the same vendor from time to time. Besides, you can let others sell at your shop and earn a share when a deal being made under your account.
- You get customers from all across the globe. With eBay you don't have to worry of not having customers, just let the Internet capability of connecting people do the job. All you have to make sure is that you construct the advertisement as appealing as possible so people will more likely purchase your product.
- You don't have to hire workers at your shop. You probably can manage it by your own and you can keep all the profit.
If you don't have your own product, you can register with wholesellers or any discount clubs and make an agreement to resell their product on eBay. Usually the reseller company will charge you with some fee during your sign-up process.
You don't have to place the initial bid too high or you might will end up didn't sell anything. Try on 50% increase and observe the market progress. Imagine the following situation :
The original value of product A = $20.
- Brian sell product A for $40( 100% profit)
- Lissa sell product A for $30( 50 % profit)
Although Lissa make less profit compared to Brian, the important thing here is getting customers to buy product A under you. So who do you think that make the most sales? Of course Lissa. Lissa will probably get 10 buyers while at the same time Brian only make one.
